Experienced sewists —
For  sewists that have a bit of experience: have you made a few garments but would like to learn the skill to take your sewings to the next level or you have been sewing for a few years but are a bit rusty?

Novice sewists —
I will work with you to see where you are at and then advise a project for you.We will focus more on learning about patterns, construction techniques, sewing skills, and the constructing and finishing of garments.

What you will learn:

  • How to improve those sewing techniques.
  • Pattern layout
  • Constructing garments and putting the pieces together in what order.
  • Fit and adjusting garments to fit the body.
  • Fabric choices
  • You will learn new skills in the art of sewing and become a competent sewist from an experienced teacher and designer that has over 25 years of teaching experience.
  • Learn tips and tricks when sewing your own project.
  • Learn to sew the latest styles and designs.
  • Save money by creating garments that fit your body shape and lifestyle.

  • Some fabrics are available to buy at wholesale prices.
  • Learn the best choice of fabric for your project.
  • Be part of a fun learning environment with like-minded people.

 

CLASS DETAILS

  • Cost $180.00 $10.00 for use of machines and overlockers
  • Choose your session and come once per week
  • Limited numbers to six per class
  • Each lesson block runs for 6 weeks
  • Class numbers changing daily please see below for the updated timetable or message us
  • Check this site regularly for up-to-date days and times
  • The class runs with a mix of beginners to more advance sewers.

What is included:

  • Expert tuition with small numbers of students
  • A fun and engaging atmosphere with lots of quick, exciting projects

What will you need to bring:

  • Your choice of fabric — info will be sent to you upon booking (we do have a small range of fabric available at discount prices)
  • Your choice of pattern unless otherwise discussed with Beth
  • Your trusty machine or use ours if need be
  • Your fabric scissors and sewing kit –
  • We will send out an information pack on enrolment.
